TIDY Towns has been re-introduced to Merredin following the first busy-bee program which was held recently.
On Sunday, October 23, the Merredin Community Resource Centre (CRC) hosted the busy-bee which saw about 10 community members don fluoro vests to help tidy the town.
Merredin CRC co-ordinator Jessica Anson said Tidy Towns was a great way for people to step up and make a difference in the community.
“The more help we get, the more pleasant and welcoming your community will be,” she said.
“Volunteering in local communities is vital, not only to the community, but for your own physical and mental health.”
They have invited the community to support Merredin CRC’s decision of re-introducing Tidy Towns into the community and to lend a hand for the next busy-bee, which will be held on Tuesday, November 22, at 9am.
Members will be meeting at the Merredin CRC at 108 Barrack Street.
