The attack occurred about 5.50pm at the Corrigin Oval, where the girl was spending time with friends.

As they walked past the Cyril Box Pavilion, the girl stopped to fix her shoe and saw her two friends leave via the main entrance.

A man then grabbed her from behind, turned her around and pushed her against the wall of the pavilion near the entrance to the male toilets.

The man lifted up her skirt and attempted to sexually assault her, before she managed to push the offender away and run off.

Narrogin Detectives are seeking witnesses to this incident or the assistance of the community to identify the man.
