Raffle winner picks up plenty of prizes

11 Mar, 2010 02:11 PM
NAREMBEEN farmer’s wife Gina DeLuis has been flying high after winning a brand new Toyota Rav4 worth $30,000 as well as $20,000 worth of travel in the West Coast Eagles members’ raffle.

“Every year Eagles members receive a $50 book of raffle tickets in the mail and last year we just bought the entire book, which a lot of people do,” she said.

“In September I found out I had won.

“For a $50 investment it is a pretty good outcome.”

She and her husband used the travelling money to go on a trip to Ireland and the UK for a month in February.

They visited their daughter Shohan who is working on a beef and dairy farm in Ireland as part of an International Rural Exchange program.

Mrs DeLuis picked up her new four-wheel-drive from Merredin Toyota last Thursday and with plenty more travel money to spend, she said they would be off to Africa next.
