LAST weekend the Merredin Community Resource Centre (CRC) opened its doors for an opportunity for children to have their photos taken with Santa.
Twenty families took the opportunity to have their photos taken, to look back on in years to come.
Father Christmas said all the children he saw over the two days were well behaved and they would have some nice presents from him when he returned on Christmas Eve.
Although Santa has been extremely busy at this time of year, everyone was happy he could make it to Merredin.
The event was run to benefit the community and to provide an opportunity for people who would generally miss out on Santa photos unless they were willing to travel.
Event co-ordinator Sheridan Carlson said it was rewarding to see the children’s faces light up when they saw Santa.
“On behalf of the Merredin CRC, staff and committee, we would like to thank all that were involved over the two days, and the parents and children who supported this wonderful event,” Miss Carlson said.
“Thanks to the Merredin Camera Club, in particular Colleen and Megan for all their hard work both leading up to the event and during the two days.
“We would also like to thank the Merredin Lions Club and Copier Support for their co-operation and assistance.”
