Boys represent Merredin at Country Week

11 Mar, 2010 02:20 PM
SEVEN boys from the Merredin Junior Basketball Association travelled to Perth recently for the under 16s Country Week at Perry Lakes Stadium.

The boys’ coach said they played very well and displayed a very high standard of sportsmanship and teamwork and represented their town well.

Their strong defense kept the scores against them to a minimum, with some very close games.

They only managed one win against Northam but should be commended for their efforts and team spirit.

A great weekend was had by all.
