11 Mar, 2010 02:21 PM
THE men played their pennants last Sunday with both teams playing at Bruce Rock. A-grade won 7-1 but B-grade lost 0-6.

The men have just returned from Country Week with some of the players doing well. Brian Gearing did very well in the singles.

The ladies played pennants last Wednesday with Civic Blue hosting Corrigin Gold and won 4-0.

Civic Gold hosted Westonia and won 4-0.

The ladies only have four games to go and the table is very close.

The top six are Corrigin Gold and Civic Blue with 36 points, Corrigin Blue 35, Civic Gold 31.5, Narembeen Gold 27 and Bruce Rock 24.5.

Last Sunday a club day was held with the winning team being Norma Henderson, Elizabeth Lane and Toni Madigan and the runners-up being Wendy Postans, Bev Drakeford, Jo Potter and Syd Crees.

Good luck to all the ladies who are in Perth playing in Country Week.
