Kellerberrin hosts junior championships

08 Oct, 2009 11:16 AM
The State Junior Sand Greens Championship was hosted by the Kellerberrin Junior Golf Club on September 19 and 20.

There were 38 entries on the weekend ranging from the Tiger Cubs through to the State Championship events in the 36 hole event.

Country players travelled from Kalgoorlie, Moora, Mandurah, Bakers Hill and the Kellerberrin Junior Club.

The Open Championship had many of the State juniors in action, drawing entries from Joondalup, Hartfield, Royal Perth, Mandurah Country Club, Wembley, and Gosnells Golf Clubs.

The course was beautifully presented by the course committee under the guidance of David Lamplugh, who worked tirelessly on both days to have all greens ready for each day’s play.

Thanks to Noel Lawrence and the senior golf club for their support and help on the weekend, from catering to starting and the great support to the talented group of players.
