IN ROUND 14 of the women’s basketball competition on Thursday, the two top teams Mystics and Sonics clashed in a game that may foreshadow the grand final.
Despite intense competition from both sides, Mystics eventually pulled ahead to defeat the Sonics 30 to 20.
Best on court were J White, A Hooper and J Anson.
Kellerberrin and Jillaroo Vets were quite equally matched but eventually Keller 24 defeated the Jillaroos 21.
Best on court were W McNeil, S Lombardini and L Trevelan.
In the B-grade, Benchwarmers continued their winning streak defeating Slamets 24 to 21, although the Slamets put up a very good fight.
Best on court were K Cooper, E Arnol and J Twomey.
Wildcats made a comeback in a nail-biting game, defeating Lakers by one point with a score of 28 to 27.
Best on court were R Manning, S Smith and M Hayden.
Meanwhile Merlots 30 defeated Patriots 14 and best on court were A Western, K Farson and V Morris. In round 12 of the men’s competition, Nukarni has shot into the lead after defeating Revheads 50 to 23.
Best on court were M Sharp, D Carlson and Bonaventure.
Kellerberrin are the other team to watch out for after they defeated Bulls 32 to 17.
Best on court were M Pale, R Griffiths and G Brownley.
Meanwhile Lakers 31 defeated Mustangs 25 and best on court were A Nelson, M Musca and L Fitzgerald.
With only one game to go before finals it is the game to decide who will make it all the way to the finish line this year.
