ANOTHER exciting night of fast paced action at the Merredin Squash Courts saw most of the favorites get up.
In top grade Murray Clausen and Brian Waterhouse battled out an interesting game.
Clausen demonstrated some classic raquet throwing, which was reminiscent of his earlier days but it wasn’t
enough to get him a win over the much improved Waterhouse who won 3-1 even though the point score was 32 each.
Blake Gerrand continued to dominate top grade with a clinical demolition of Wade Brereton.
Brereton exhibited some competitive moments but Gerrand
won 3-0.
In twos, Scotty Cooper powered to a win over Kalvin Greenham.
Greenham showed some delicate touch but Coops just kept smashing winners and won 3-1.
Mark Barass had an easy 3-0 win over newbie, Matt Chidlow.
Barrass was unlucky not to be playing top grade this season and his vast experience was clearly demonstrated.
However, young Matt is an up and comer who will not take long to record a win.
Pete Gerrand puffed his way around court two to record a 3-0 win against Magda Dudek.
The talking point of the night was around Adam Waddell, who had his first game of squash ever and trounced his (slightly) more experienced opponent.
He beat Ken Lewis 3/0.
