AUSTRALIAN Opals player and 2008 Beijing Olympic silver medalist Tully Bevilaqua, who grew up in Merredin, will visit the town on Friday.

She will hold a junior coaching clinic at the Merredin Recreation Centre from 3.30pm to 5.30pm, and all are welcome.

She will also attend a dinner which is open to the public. ‘”An Evening With Tully” will be held on Friday night from 6.30 until late at the Grandstand Bar. All are welcome and meals will be available for purchase.

Meeting and listening to Tully is sure to be an inspiring experience as she has had a very successful basketball career.

She currently plays for the Indiana Fever in the Women’s National Basketball Assocation in the USA.

In Australia's WNBL, she played for the Canberra Capitals, who she helped win the 2005-06 and 2006-07 championships.

These events have been organised courtesy of the Merredin Basketball Association and registration is essential.

Bookings can be made by phoning Donna Crook on 9044 1035.
