Volunteers needed for speedway season

25 Feb, 2010 10:56 AM
KELLERBERRIN Speedway is gearing up for another adrenaline-filled season of track racing action, but need extra volunteers to help it into full throttle.

After holding their first general meeting for the year recently they are still looking for a secretary.

“Kellerberrin Speedway is becoming well known as a great place to race and also brings a lot of income to

the town, so we would like to continue this great reputation,” speedway president Greg Hunt said.

“Volunteers are an important part of enabling our club to hold great race meetings, whether it is as a secretary, helping at the main gate, pit gate, in the canteen, as a pit marshal or a flag marshal.”

The first race date for the year will be May 22 with a Formula 125 feature. June 12 will be the Steve McWhirter Memorial and PTQCC Open Production Championships, July 17 the 20/20 Production Classic, August 14 the Kellerberrin Farmers and PTQCC Open Street Stock Championships and September 4 the

PTQCC Open F500 Championships and Kellerberrin Junior

Feature.

To get involved or for more information call Greg Hunt on 9045 5506 or 0458 454 308.
