Women of all ages and abilities turn up every Wednesday at the lawn tennis courts near the Merredin Regional Community and Leisure Centre, from 9am until

12noon, to play social tennis.

Ladies are able to bring their children with them who happily play indoors or on the playground equipment provided.

Last Wednesday a Bell tournament was held, which Gwen Hobson won convincingly with 19 points.

The annual Wednesday Ladies Open Day doubles tennis championships is fast approaching on Wednesday, November 11.

Previous years have seen competitors come from as far as Perth, Mt Walker, Quairading, Southern Cross and Bruce Rock.
