Kellerberrin Bowling Carnival a big success

03 Feb, 2012 10:42 AM
THE weather was mild, the greens good, the hospitality was superb and the catering provided by the ladies was excellent as 28 teams played in the 13th Annual Golden Grains Bowling Carnival in Kellerberrin on Tuesday, January 10 and Wednesday, January 11.

Kellerberrin is well known for this magnificent bowling carnival, held in the second week of January each year.

There were 112 players from both the metropolitan and country areas who visited Kellerberrin to take part in this carnival.

This year’s Golden Grain was a great success, with perfect weather, great mateship and good bowls being played.

On the Tuesday night, Peter Dee provided everyone with excellent entertainment.

The winning team came from Northam, the Nollarmara team came in second and third place went to the Tammin team.

Organisers thanked their major sponsors Premium Grain Handlers and John Nelson Assessing as well as all other sponsors for making the carnival a success.
