A truck driver has been airlifted to hospital after his truck rolled near Walgoolan early this morning.
The 66-year-old truck driver was seriously injured when his diesel truck rolled in the Central Wheatbelt, about 40 kilometres east of Merredin, about 4.30am.
The truck is leaking diesel, and authorities have closed the Great Eastern Highway as a precaution.
The RAC rescue helicopter was called the crash, arriving about 7.25am to airlift the man to Royal Perth Hospital.
The extent of his injuries was not known.
Motorists should expect traffic delays along this section of the highway and motorists should use an alternative route if possible, otherwise they should expect delays.
